This is a hard subject to talk about in comments. The subject is so heavy that it's unrelenting, but that really does just show how important it is to give what tiny amount of spotlight we can do it. I was really going back and forth on how to be as respectful about the subject as possible. Kept wanting to put in lines about "Neverending battles" and the need for heroes, but it felt cheesy and awkward. Hell, even in typing these comments I kept thinking about this anecdote involving a parent asking for a specific transphobic book, but it just felt shallow and like it didn't contribute much.

Just a time for us all to think on the injustice of it, I suppose. Important subject to spotlight, but difficult to discuss.

Yeah, this sort of thing is difficult to know how much to really say about. This was going to be a status update filler on some things we have going on right now that might cause some short term problems going forward, but that's going to be a Monday update because of this.

In general it's an occasion that I'd like to do a filler for every year - I know the actual dedicated webcomic project's been inactive for a long time at this point, but it kind of always left a bit of an impression on me reading comics back in the day so it's something I'd like to do even if there isn't really any larger organization around it. A lot of the time I find November 20th ironically kind of a hard date to remember - I tend to recall this is in late November but the exact date tends to squeak by me until it's just too late to be timely with it - but this year I was telling myself for months that we were going to be sure to do it this year and this time we did.

Feels like saying much more than that would be a bit inappropriate so leaving it at that. Not the most important thing here by any means but you might notice we drew Dorothy's hair a bit differently here, guess consider it kind of a preview of how it'll be looking as of the next chapter.

I don't even know what to say.
