We get some more in the way of angle experimentation here, always fun. If you want to see the other side of this conversation, check out tomorrow's BP page - not a lot to that and it's not the focus of the page, but if you're curious.

So yeah, about this page. Did like slipping in something in there having Alex call Power out on her weird hair color choice again. Do kind of intend for there to be a sort of Sarabeth counterpart sort of thing to it - the whole unusual hair dye thing in the comic will be pretty much limited to the two of them, don't worry.

So, what is it that Power should know? Unfortunately, it'll take a week for you to find out - sorry again about that.

I don't think this angle-experiment was quite as successful as the one with Weapon, but eh, still good. ^^

I do like how Alex is sensible enough to point out, "Y'know, I just seriously injured your minions, you should probably give them medical attention." That's something you don't see a lot in super-heroes, surprisingly. In the first X-Men movie, they didn't stop Magneto to say, "Oh, Toad is probably drowning and Mystique got stabbed in the gut. So ya know."

Or when the building inevitably explodes at the end of an encounter, you never think about the unconscious mooks you had to knock out to get to the boss.

Did Alex train himself to resist pain or is it just all the adrenaline that is pumping through his system? Also when is Xandy going to appear in the comic proper?

I'm not entirely sure when Xandy will first properly appear, but it shouldn't be too terribly much longer. She probably won't become a major aspect of things just yet, but we'll definitely be going for that.

As for pain, I'd say it's a bit of both in Alex's case. A big part of how he works is just straight fire and passion, but he trains hard and has trained under a wide variety of fellow vigilantes. One of those in particular called Barbwire - who we've seen once already and will be seeing again - carries himself as enduring as much pain as possible and if needed actively harming himself if it hurts his foes more. Not a philosophy Alex particularly believes in, but there are things he took away from it.
