Damn, it's great to be back on Fridays, isn't it?

Pretty happy with this page, though it does contain a couple of disconnects between writer and artist - sort of came up a lot during this particular next couple of pages. Not to complain, of course - it's just taught me to bit a little more careful in how I try to explain things and to do outlines and storyboards when I have a very particular idea of how a page should look. Something that comes up in the very first page of the next chapter and it worked out to great results there.

So yeah, in particular. Neither thing's exactly huge here, so like I said, learning experience for me, but the second panel I sort of intended for Power to be bringing her elbow downward on the back of Alex's head in the second panel as he tried to climb over, which would then make him slump over the edge in the third panel as opposed to dropping in directly as he does here.

Speaking of learning... If you want to see a prime example of that, read the fight with Weapon again and the ensuing fight with Power here, then go back and look at Alex's showdown with Gaspeed in the prologue again. Slowly but surely we're figuring this whole comic thing out, I think.

Anyway, close to the end of the chapter here, but don't think I'll give the exact end date just yet - probably better to get through this little sequence first. I will say though that for some stuff coming up before the chapter does end, you might want to start getting caught up on BP if you haven't been reading it - it's nothing crucial by any means if you don't have time for it just yet or whatever, but it would give you a little more background on some things.

Eheh.... I do sorta feel guilty when I get things wrong, but still like how the page came out all the same. ^^ It's nice to see Power actually fighting given she's spent this whole chapter in this sort of underground-boxing getup.

I also really like how much we're seeing of her tattoo. It's something that's usually covered by her sleeves, so it's a neat touch it's being shown off when she decides to get badass.

And yeah, we have really moved forward. I can't even look at the prologue now. That's how much the artwork there disgusts me.

a gun..extra minnons with guns...This is why hero's would hate me as a villain.

True, in a lot of cases that'd help, but it wouldn't really help Power's goals here. She's out a potential ally who'd be really valuable to her cause, she suddenly has a whole bunch of enemies coming her way including likely the police given Dorothy can be linked to there from a few sources, and all she has to show for it to Xmarlek is that she successfully killed a vigilante no one's heard of.

Of course, that's assuming she even got that far, given Rage and Carla are in the building.

Alex had to go through a physical and a 6-week training course in order to get his vigilante license, how did Starchild bypass that? Also what is Rage's power exactly?

Sarabeth essentially arranged for records to be put into place for Dorothy as already being on file as registered sometime in advance, with the proper consent and all that.

As for Rage, he has heightened strength and durability. It's not quite to the strength of Lore from Blues or anything, but his strength is much greater than the average man's.
