Hm. Rin's proportions bug me here... Ah, well. Flashback time!

I wanna say without getting into any background detail, Rin is one of the more interesting characters in any of the comics to me thus far. I'm really happy to be getting into his background just because I know what it'll lead to and I can't wait to see how it'll go.

Heheh... As for the page itself... Rin was cute as a little boy, wasn't he? Yeah, his hair is pretty girly, so maybe he could've gotten along with Grant. I liked doing details on this page like his parents and also the shot of Starchild on the TV. Though Martin added the whooshing blue background on her- like it, it's very anime-esque. ^^

I think a pair of themes of sorts through this storyline are loss and family. Can't go too into it given it's something we'll be approaching later, but both are sort of prevalent factors in the next few chapters, as well as within this one. This page, as well as in part the plans for Rin moving forward, are a big part of that.

On that note, I think Rin and O'Hara are probably harder to write for than Power is. With Power, I generally would mostly if I did get hung up on something with her would mostly find it having to do with the situation she was in, while a lot of the time so far with Rin and particularly O'Hara I find myself taking a minute to sort of decide how they should proceed in a given situation. How they move around, how they talk, what have you. Am pretty happy with most everything involving them so far, including in pages that haven't been drawn yet, so I am at least feeling confident in my ability to work with that.

On another, more page-specific note - speed lines!

Yeah, pretty much. We won't be going too far into detail on that, though the next page will cover more, but not hard to gather what exactly happened.
