It just isn't Reality's day, is it?

Pretty appropriate really, given his planned role for when Militant Gold gets up and running. That'll be awhile though, so for now, let's talk about Wright as Rayne!

This is one of those pages where even in Manga Studio it took a couple of hours, so in Paint this probably would have been a two day project. Yeah, MS undoubtedly saves me quite a bit of time, even as - though I wasn't really experienced enough with it yet to do it at this point - I've been getting a bit more involved in doing some clean-up in it. It's more of a hassle to do that in MS than in Paint, but there's a lot less of it.

Case in point for how I was still struggling with it at this point, I screwed the third panel up here and had to have Adam handle it. Owe him for that. Or maybe I don't because I've been coloring Blues for the past two and a half years, I dunno. Appreciated either way.

Has Firefly's name come up in the comic proper yet? I think it was mentioned in a comment or two. Either way, yeah, the Major Tobias Bullet Time's referring to is him.

Huh.... I don't think it did come up in the comic proper; if it did, I missed it since I didn't know that was his name. Didn't realize his title was Major.

Yeah, this page was a massive goddamn pain for me. I prep these for coloring, which has gotten to be a simple matter since I've started half-prepping them as I draw, but this one was done in a page format that didn't allow colors, meaning I had to convert it and then do all this tedious crap to handle stuff like Bullet Time's super-speed and his Goddamn tattoos. This and the next page (which has super-speed in practically every panel) were the last ones drawn in that format and later pages were a walk in the park to prep.

All I could think of while working on this was "Good-bye Paint." ^^ Still, yeah, happy with the results either way.

That woman in the gold and blue remind you of Geno? Browner skin, blue cloak with gold bits to it? She's not really meant to be anyone, just an extra I doodled up, and the color scheme resemblance was apparently coincidental, just weird. She winds up in a lot of panels, kinda feel guilty given I should be giving more time to the folks in Militant Gold.

Ah, well, Reality's part was pretty noticeable. Probably my favorite member of the team seen here, so liked giving him some spotlight.

Bullet Time really likes pissing people off, nobody likes Firefly but Narcisco seems well liked and respected, I wonder how Alex is going to correct him that his name is Starchild, not Stargirl.

Yeah, Bullet Time's certainly a confrontational sort. I imagine there aren't exactly a lot of people out there who want to hang out with him.
