Lot of dialogue in this one, huh?

I am pretty happy with it though, and it does feel at least to me like I managed to get a fair bit going on without having the dialogue entirely drown it out. Sort of a fine line to walk but I'm pleased with how it came out in this case.

As can probably be seen by that last bit, we're about to get a little more insight into just what O'Hara's wanting out of Rin. The next page will go a little further into that, though these two are all we'll see of this exchange for a bit before we cut back to the other side of the plot for a little bit. The chapter gets fairly jumpy from here on out really, no scene goes on too long.

Really, when you think about it, you're curious what Rin's not world famous for making this. I'm getting there has to be some kind of massive production problem with that stuff otherwise every American serviceman would just walk around with it in spray bottles. How can he only have "people interested?" It seems like if he just did that demonstration for an army major the response would be "Here's all the money we got from China. Make more."

Still, do really like the scene; I think the invention is grounded enough in reality to fit the series while also showing just how comic-booky a genius Rin is when it comes to creating things. Just based on this alone, fairly sure he might be able to out-do Shinobu or... Shit, can't talk about her yet, can I? There's another super-smart inventor who becomes important in WaR/BP later. Her too.

And by the way; O'Hara's tattoos are back and we're both very angry about it. She's wearing sleeves next time we see her. I wanted to pitch to Martin that at some point in the future Alex should shove both her arms into acid and burn off all her skin, but don't think he'd go for it.

O'Hara continues to creep me out by being freaky, Rin's managed to invent some really impressive stuff.

Heh, we'll see if O'Hara's creepiness continues. Am glad I'm managing to make her come off as unsettling so far.
