Two pages to 300! One of those will be on Friday, so be sure to come by for it. I'm very eager for next week. Huh, for two reasons, occurs to me that the 300th page will be going up right as WrestleMania ends. Weird.

Anyway, we meet WaR!Jenny! She's a character who's long been planned, and she'll be showing up here and there from here on out. Though this page has her only dialogue in this chapter; it's like with Chris, her introduction's long been planned for happening in this chapter (like, for way longer than the comic's been running, and back when this chapter was totally different and entirely school-focused) but she's not all that important just yet.

I had her basic look in mind for a long time - blond, dressed kind of trendy, green eyes - but we settled on the specific design pretty recently. For some reason we partially based it off of Courtney from As Told By Ginger, though she isn't a similar character. I guess maybe I just thought it'd be a good place to draw some visual interest from, I dunno. There is one other guiding influence to her design but we'll get into that later.

Everybody; I'm going to be spending this Saturday (and maybe Sunday) at Cyphacon in my hometown of Lake Charles, Louisiana. There's no way anybody in this tiny fandom is going to be close enough to come by, but if you're in the neighborhood, seek me out. I'll be the guy in a crummy Medic costume.

Major step in terms of shading here. Still a learning experience, but worked really well here. ^^ Am sure in six months we'll look back at the early stuff and wanna hit ourselves.

I you can't tell, Laura's pretty rich. Not sure what her dad does, but fairly impressive. Would be more impressed with the twisty-staircase if I could look at it without thinking, "God, what a pain that was to draw."

Am always happy to do stuff with Laura, though. ^^ Loved having her in the spotlight this whole chapter.

I was kind of meaning to imply that he's an architect with the dialogue earlier in the chapter. Though as far as the house goes, my working idea on it is that they used Laura's mom's life insurance payout to get it.

Oh, speaking of, Laura's mom is dead. I would figure that's pretty obvious based on the stuff earlier about her having stayed in a hospital that prolonged things for her, plus with her nowhere to be found. We'll come back to that subject down the line.

The shading really adds a lot to the page, very interesting.

Heh, glad you think so. We'll probably be fine-tuning it and perfecting how we go about it for a long while to come, glad to hear it's working out so far.
