Another noticeable shift in the art style's coming up in the next couple of pages, will go ahead and mention. Eager to start posting those pages, been really liking the way the particular changes we've made have affected things.
Anyway, enough about that, this page! And that's what you get as a debut line after so long a build-up, "Used to play football." Defining character line right there.
Seriously though, we get something of a slow introduction to Arc, don't really find out what the deal with him is for a few more pages. For now, we've got a fight! And I'm sure with those sharp blades, it'll be a tough one for Alex.
Incidentally, before anyone brings it up, no, it would not be smarter for Arc to try and use one of the guns. Because those were in a crate being traded and thus obviously wouldn't be loaded. Just in case anyone's wondering about that. Though as mentioned in the scripts he wasn't carrying guns anyway.
But yeah, plus side of getting the details wrong with guns instead of suitcases is that we get that awesome shot in the fifth panel where they go all flying in every direction. That's pretty cool. ^^
I was pretty unsure about how I drew the running in this page but think it came out good looking at it again. Arc's still fun to work with, the gauntlets in particular. ^^
