And there's Lillian with her token appearance! Yeah, still a little bit before she'll really get to... Yeah, nobody's buying this, right? She was prominent on the year five preview and she's on the cover of the chapter, obviously she's going to be doing something of note in this chapter. Stay tuned for that.

So yeah, that NBA game thing... Yeah, I'm sure that will sound random as hell if you don't read Black Princess. If you do, you've seen part of what the deal is with that but more details will come throughout. That whole situation's kind of odd in how it plays into everything actually - the fact that it's happening is all that's really important to WaR while the specifics of what is going on are what matters to BP. We'll be hearing the subject come up several more times as the chapter progresses, it does figure directly into this one's story.

There was a certain move to make clothes a little more interesting to look at for this scene. Lillian doesn't have that really going on, but Alex has that butterfly shirt plus his pink coat, which I actually specifically asked Adam to put in largely because I realized we hadn't seen it in awhile. Had kind of forgotten about it if I'm being honest, but then, the idea was never for Alex to wear it persistently like he does in his own body. To go with that we have another sign of what an anime fan Sarabeth is, always fun.

Anyway, think that's all I've got. That "except..." was a very late addition to this page and leads into the next one which as mentioned previously was written more recently than the pages after it.

Yeah, Martin had complained about how we did too many blank shirts so tried to think on a couple Sarabeth and "Dorothy" could wear more often. Pushing the girliness limit on "Dorothy" is actually sorta fun, and fairly easy when you're reminded how Alex isn't the model of masculinity himself. I didn't find out 'til after I did this page that those "L" shirts actually exist in real life.

Likewise, Martin's been asking me to improve the backgrounds, but get a feeling that'll be a harder step to take. Hell, even here, Martin re-did the railing in that last panel since I'd drawn it as one solid piece rather than several planks.

Did at least try and stick to the re-designs closer there, in particular with Sarabeth. Hope it worked out, folks.

A week ago, Martin's brother Aaron spoke to someone who reads the comic and cites it as one of his favorites. Who are you, mystery reader? Comment. We're curious.
