So, this fight isn't off to a terribly good start for Alex.

Yeah, the idea with McShay from day one's been to tell over and over about how good she is without actually showing it, not to try and go against the show, don't tell, sort of thing, but more so that when it's actually shown, we can see she lives up to the hype. Like, wanted to really show that she is like an unstoppable raging beast Alex is going to have to fight like hell to overcome.

Not sure how much I really have to say here though. Probably be hard to speak on a lot of what's coming up because this will most likely be the most lengthy fight in any of the comics so far. Really taking up the bulk of the chapter, this fight.

Which admittedly might make for some shoddy planning on my part since the next chapter's the Ivy fight we've been hyping up and all but eh, cross that bridge when we come to it. I'm sure I can find a way to keep it varied.

I love the first panel just due to the angle of it. Like, immediately before this page I had to draw a character with a similar angle in Blues and didn't work out in the slightest. So then I got to do this one and it's just awesome. ^^ Loved getting to have her towering right through the frame, just makes her look unstoppable.

And yeah, McShay being an unstoppable powerhouse was much of what we had in mind for this fight. Again, doing the re-design to make her look more brutish went a long, long way.

I wasn't sure how to do that last bit with McShay throwing Alex though, so had to ask Martin for advice. In general been doing that a good deal for the fight since I really, really want it to look right and have been pushing to make sure it works. Come back next week; I needed to ask Martin about a weirdly-named wrestling move. ^^

Hopefully you'll enjoy. Lot of brutality still to come, though.
