This was a page that when I got back just made me go "Awwww." The framing of this scene and interactions he has with his Grandma I felt added a good deal to Rin's character. ^^

Not a whole lot else to say; the script said to try and make the room look incredibly fancy, to show that Rin makes sure she's very well-cared for and he throws tons of money into her comfort. I hope that came off well enough; I particularly liked the bed. ^^ If anything I'm a bit disappointed I didn't make her look older; she's in her 80s at this point, I think.

For the record, last time we saw Rin's grandma she had these giant old lady glasses. I really liked those so I tried to put them on her here, but they came out too much like Elton John so I had to leave them out. Pity.

Yeah, really happy with this bit myself. One consistent thing with Rin's pages is that I tend to find them slightly awkward to write and get hung up for a bit, but I'm generally very pleased with the end result. This one's really no exception, though I think it went quicker than the norm.

One thing I was going for with this room is that I really wanted to make it look somewhat like Rin's house, try and really give it a cozy, home sort of look. One of the things I like a lot about this page is how it came out, just looks like a really nice place to be in my opinion.

Hell yeah that's a Fried Green Tomatoes reference. We're a comic about a badass superhero presently involved in a bloodbath of a fight, of course we're going to reference that.

Of course Rin would do everything he could help his grandma she's all he has left after the death of his parents, this is a very touching scene.
