Another weird case; this is something we'd had planned for a while as a thing in-comic. A very recent documentary about Miss Mania and Librity Belle, the two first super-heroes in this universe. Just modern-day heroes trying to figure out who they were and what happened to them and the impact they had on the world.

This wasn't an old concept for us as it's been mentioned on occasion in the comics (Alex is actually seen watching it in Red White and Blue (page 24). I'm not sure who came up with the visual for this one though. Wanna say it was me but not sure.

Had fun with the heads at the bottom more than anything else. Genuinely enjoy drawing Alex in his own body. I also like drawing Ivy's ugly, damaged hair since her re-design. Barb Wire was someone we don't draw often but just occasionally pops up.... I always got reminded of John Goodman whenever drawing him so played that up here. His beard in particular is very Big Lebowski-ish. Didn't entirely get the look though.

Cynthia Sands is there because I've been reading a lot of Young Justice lately. Not the cartoon, I mean the old-school comic from the 90s written by Peter David. Good stuff. Sands is largely just based off Arrowette from the comic and then everything else came in later. Color scheme, name, ect. Was in a weird position where Martin informed me that Ivy, Alex, and Wire would be in the documentary but had room for a third person and so just threw something together.

Hm. This whole thing about just needing to make up super-heroes on the spot reminds me of something I've been wondering about on-and-off... It's actually harder than it looks and.... Eh, will discuss it later. Is a part of the upcoming Blues chapter relating to it.

Yeah, this idea was all yours. I pretty much just mentioned wanting to do the Mania documentary's cover as one of these and threw out some stray thoughts and the title.

It was kind of funny having to look up Arrowette's color scheme so I could go as far away from it as possible. I mean, I know what she looks like already, but still, wanted to be certain on it. Guess no trouble with DC's lawyers if you go so far with the recolor that even the skin's different.

Really don't know what else I've here, but hopefully everyone enjoys. Not entirely decided yet what Monday's filler is going to be, we're eyeing a few different options. Stay tuned!
