Our hero, valiantly lying his ass off after swearing he'd tell the truth and doing it in such a way where he's talking about how awesome he is!

Yeah, I was a little split on how exactly to address where this situation was heading for awhile or on what to have Alex argue against Lillian with, and I do like the end results. Was trying for, between how he's speaking and the movements, trying to capture a certain Walter White-esque thing of, "He's really obviously making this up as he goes, but he's just so passionate about saying it!"

And then there are the changes in the art you can see here. I think I'll let Adam go into that whole matter.

So, y'know how we're constantly trying to improve the art in various systematic ways? The latest bit on our radar was the fitting of clothes. Wanted them to hang more naturally downward and fit better on the body.

Also the shading was given a slight tween to look more natural, such as dangling from the hair, and, my personal favorite, the hair is now shiny. Last one's subtle but it looks soooooo Goddamn good. ^^

Oooo, speaking of hair, it's now got those little bits of detail strands in them again. The reason we quit doing those was because it was too time-consuming and tedious, but now we're looking at a simpler, quicker way of doing it.

So yeah, me and Martin pulled up a livestream and bounced stuff around until we had this pattern more or less beaten out. Takes relativally little work to do, but it's gonna take a little bit to encorporate into my linearts. So much of that is based on habit, so I need to do this until I stop remembering to do it. I haven't drawn a page that looks as nice as this one since, but we're working on it. In particular the hair-shine is becoming consistent, probably because it's my favorite change.

Love doing these livestream works with Martin. For this one, we actually left the doodling aside and went right onto this page, seeing how it looked in practice. ^^ Recall this bit we joked about when we got to the third panel.
"He looks like he's singing."
"If I were a boooooy!"

Hell, the first page where we start doing this in the upcoming Blues chapter just looks so ridiculously awesome. ^^ I can't wait to show it off. It's a ways into that chapter.
