Could've sworn I set this up beforehand... Sorry about that, folks! Really feel like shit now....

My old tablet died in the process of this page. Fortunately when it was showing signs of trouble I immediately bought a spare because I refuse to go a single day without being able to draw. Hence why I also have a laptop. This looks really awkward to me now; like you can see where I was being thrown off, especially with Marvelous Man in panel 1 and Ivy in panel 3. Feel fine with the new tablet already, but the first few days were really weird. ^^

So yeah, this goes back to the whole adventure Alex and Ivy went on in Black Flame way back when, which does a lot to validate Alex's story of being his own prodigy. ^^

The extras in that first panel are really random. I had a specific idea of who they'd be when doing the basic-form but then when it came time to do details I forgot so just came up with whoever I was thinking of at the time. It's a weird-looking Cyclops, an ice-villain based off Nora Freeze, human-male-Undyne from Undertale, and someone dressed as Eartha Kitt from the "I Don't Care" music video.

Someone watch that video and tell me it's not totally bananas. I wanna do a chapter of Blues based on it because what the fuck?

Yeah, running a wee bit late tonight. Kind of funny I'm the one who noticed it when I'm also the one who's spent a decent chunk of the past few hours fiddling with a new PS4.

But yeah, an issue I had floating around heading into this chapter was the whole matter of the one fight we saw Ivy have onscreen before, she lost. I think this chapter by now's done a fair bit to counteract that, but I still wanted to address the issue, because I imagine something like that - regardless of the fact she really had an excuse for losing - would really eat at her. Plus it nicely explains why that incident is particularly worth remembering for Alex - Ivy's probably been letting frustration over it boil up for years now.

So yeah, Ivy League vs. Starchild is a go come Friday! It's certainly been building for plenty of time, and do quite like the way the fight shapes out on paper so hopefully readers will enjoy it.

Also, bares noting Adam colored the extras in this one. I wasn't really feeling like it at the time and the time to post this one was looming so asked him to handle it.

So that's what Alex had in mind, interesting, looking to seeing what happens next.
