Now we start with a Section 24 segment, of which the star was kinda-sorta meant to be John but it wound up being Ellen by virtue of being Goddamn adorable.

Martin decided to make up for Ellen being largely mute in most of her appearances, she's a motor-mouth who never shuts up now. She's easily one of the most fun ones in the group to play with. Especially when you factor in weird shit like how her powers would realistically work. Her hair is perpetually wet! .... Probably her skin too, honestly.

The idea with Ellen was really always to be a motor mouth, just really wanted to go the extra mile with it in light of her often not getting much of a chance to talk to date. Really wanted to go nuts and have her go wild just yammering about nothing for awhile here.

Really I think this chapter kind of ends up getting a lot accomplished, both in terms of some character building and some story stuff. A lot of the outright story progression - and there are a few things coming with more reaching consequences - is still to come, but do think this one has been good for fleshing some people out and doing some new things.

To that end, hey, Section 24 spotlight! Long overdue on this one. Like I said, they've long been planned to be important characters, but the split in comics made them hard to work in because they're important to both sides of the story. This is thus a good place to kind of reestablish them a bit and give them some room to step up, start laying some groundwork for some of their stuff down the line.

And of course some new costumes pretty overdue for this group.

This is neat and silly, wonder what's going to happen next.
