Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! Or at least a good Thursday if you're a non-American reader.

So, what to say on this one then...

We kinda-sorta meet Hazel's mom, so there's that going on. I don't know if it will actually come up in dialogue at any point but for the record in the scripts her name is Kennedy. A fair bit of this chapter will be giving some more focus to Hazel's personal life and telling us more about him - to the point we learn something about another family member of his two pages from now - but Hazel is probably going to be a little more on the backburner for this one, not quiiiite as much screentime as he gets in some other chapters and it'll probably be pretty front-loaded. Still looking to be a very long chapter on the whole.

I'll let Adam go into some of the specifics of the decor here and the way Hazel's dressed, little more his forte. Related there's supposed to be a certain kind of character type I'm going for with Hazel's mom, not entirely clear if it's immediately obvious or not but either way probably better spoken on when it becomes a bit more explicit.

Heheh... Yeah, we discussed what a good Halloween costume would be for Hazel and settled on Heisenberg from Breaking Bad. I think it was a good choice. ^^

Especially appropriate since I drew on Jesse from the same show as influence for how to decorate Hazel's penthouse. High-yield, expensive place, but filled with random crap he just felt like buying. Big-screen TV with speaker system, Playstation, bong, ice cream, boxing gloves, high-tech gadget by his bed, probably just buys everything on a whim.

I was really curious how to draw Hazel's expressions while talking to him Mom... Talking to your Mom is such a big yet subtle deal for a lot of people it was just an odd thing to consider.

On that note, hope everyone's having a good Thanksgiving. Without all the drama and screaming.
