Like I said on the last page, the 800th one on its own isn't really any sort of landmark page with some big plot advancement or shock twist or anything, but it does lay out one notable thing about this chapter - it's the end of Power's streak of having been in every chapter thus far. Well, besides the supplanted BP ones anyway, but that doesn't really count.

Yeah, Power's not appearing in this chapter. Probably not appearing in the next one either honestly, but I don't know that for a fact right at this moment. That's not to say her crew has no involvement with it - some of her group'll be showing up in a few pages as part of Hazel's plot in this one - but yeah, Power herself isn't present this time around.

Which might be a good time to speak on a chapter that's by this point basically been cut, since it was originally going to be the last appearance of Power before giving her a break for awhile. Waaaay back in Raynefall we had this page -

The modeling show Sylvain's talking about was going to show up as the focus of a chapter, with Laura helping out with some behind the scenes work and Alex tagging along, eventually leading to a fight with Power that Alex would lose due to the involvement of some of her minions as kind of a write-off for the character for a bit on a win between beating Alex and getting away with the necklace being talked about, which'd also be how Laura found out about Starchild. This has basically been on the chopping block for a long while now, but especially in light of other things coming up with some of the plot structuring since then and also Laura having found out about Starchild in a different manner already. Might as well outline it a bit here since really nowhere it's going to fit in at, it's not an especially strong story concept, and by now it doesn't really serve any purpose.

Speaking of her knowing about Starchild, Laura isn't too good at keeping quiet on that front, huh? Ana knows about it basically but still kind of shaky doing it at a party, even if upstairs with no one else presently around. Plus bringing up the demon thing to boot.

It's kind of funny to me that this is the first conversation between Alex and Miss Brooks, kind of feels like it should've come up sooner even though there's not really been a place for it. Actually the first time in quite awhile Miss Brooks has shown up, I think the last time was all the way back in A Time for Work.

Funny thing, with Power's streak over, the current longest appearance streak in the comic is from Lillian. And even that's probably ending in the next chapter.

Posting this separately since it really only needs saying on Comic Fury as it won't affect anything on DeviantArt - decided to trim the Black Princess pages from WaR's archive. It's really not necessary to understand the comic, really makes it a more imposing archive than it needs to be, and really just makes it a mess to navigate all around, plus missing some filler stuff keeping it from being comprehensive. It'll probably screw up some links to pages along the way but that should be the only real issue, just a heads-up to anyone reading. Will stick a link to BP in the links at the top and otherwise be good to go.

Also, the cast page has been updated. Wanting to add some quick bios to it but that'll come a little down the line but either way, this time I've trimmed some fat, combined some entries, gotten some better pictures, and made it cleaner and more organized in general. It does show off a retool of a couple people we've not seen in a long time who will be popping up in this chapter a little in advance though, if you're concerned about that.

Heheh... Wow, don't have nearly as much to say about this here. ^^ Helps I'm on painkillers due to complications with my tooth.

Living Weapon and Orlando are dressed as Goro from Mortal Kombat and Riku from Kingdom Hearts respectively. Goro's one of my favorite characters from Mortal Komabt so was happy to draw someone like that. I was clueless on Orlando, but Martin was re-playing Kingdom Hearts 1 so figured it'd be a good thing to throw into.

Originally Brook was gonna have a goofy, lame costume, like just some bobby-antenna, but got lost in the shuffle. Shame, I really like Miss Brooks. I love that we find out her first name here. ^^

Surprised Martin didn't mention this, but he just updated the cast page. Looks very nice. ^^

So Laura gets really crazy into-character when she's in these costumes, right? Does that mean she'll need to explain to her dad why she sprayed green paint on all the floors of the house?
