Heh... This is one of those pages where it seems meaningless for me to talk about the art, since the color job is by far the most prominent part. ^^ I did really love seeing Jack again. Me and Martin talked for a while about how he could be in costume as. Dunno how we wound up settling on Al Capone but he really pulls it off. So much so that I choose to believe he didn't know this was a costume party that that's just what he happened to be wearing.

In general was happy to draw Jack again. Didn't realize just how long it had been since he showed up and the art's really improved since then. He looks awesome in the improved style and we can properly display his "I'm better than you" attitude toward things.

I really like the idea of these goggles to the point that they'll have to show up in Blues at some point. ^^ It really makes sense someone in this universe would've made something like this and I like all the identifiers they've got.

New costumes include Goombella in the fifth panel (Martin is re-playing Thousand Year Door) and Punpun Kill-Chan in the first. Dunno who Punpun Kill-Chan is? Google it; you won't be disappointed. ^^

Yeah, this one is going in a bit of an unexpected direction. And kind of awkwardly timed, since the next page as said before has a pretty radical art shift coming.

So hey, this is where the other shoe drops on the meaning of the cover! 22 pages in! Yeah, long chapter with a lot going on this one, but I wanted to give this leg of things a little time to simmer and really wait to come into play only after the party had been going on awhile.

I like getting to lay some groundwork for some other little things here while at it. Get to keep up the build of there clearly being something off with Jack last seen with his strange eating habits and deformed back, and get to also show there's a little more than there looks like going on with Chloe, so always good that.

It's kind of funny that Laura just happens to have a green glow about her under this system. Is one of those things where I didn't have it in mind at the instant I came up with the ideas on the colors, but it was noticed very quickly.

What happened to the blue on Laura's costume in the last two panels? Very interesting, wonder what's going to happen next.
