Heheh... Yeah, Alex has an agent that he's only NOW getting in touch with to explain the situation. ^^

I actually really liked doing this sequence; I loved that Martin went out of his way to show that it wasn't the standard sleazy, selfish agents you normally see in fiction but a kinda casual-friend who has good reason to be pissed Alex didn't get in contact with him when he went "Missing." Also makes sense that since this universe's version of superheroics has a showbiz angle to it Alex and some other big-name superheroes would have agents.

Now that I'm talking about this, I'm wondering how many other heroes in this universe have them. Marvelous Man probably has an army escort or PR person who handles that, I imagine Qrime Qure probably had an agent that he drove away as his insanity got worse.... Would Ivy have one? She gets a lot of bookings like the bank fight and the documentary we saw her in, but with her Klingon-like personality I dunno how well she could handle that sort of clerical, interpersonal work. It seems like she'd have to have someone to set that up for her. But at the same time she seems to hate poseurs and wanna-bes in the business enough that having an agent would be weird. Given Alex and Ivy have been friends for years do their people work for the same talent agency? Did Ivy recommend Alex to it? When Grant gets old enough to get his license will Alex recommend him to the same people?

Wow, I didn't realize how many questions I had about this, but now REALLY curious. ^^ Hell, there's a group we've got planned for Blues that would make the agent thing even more interesting a question but didn't get into it.

We're trying to make the time of year a bit more noticeable in this chapter and will be trying to depict people in winter clothes with winter arrangements. Martin actually asked me to go back after this page was done and add in those Christmas decorations. ^^

This page was a holdover from a chapter idea I had that got cut for feasibility reasons - like I mentioned before, tying into both Alex and the BP girls crossing over into Blues in back-to-back chapters I wanted to do a chapter focusing on both sides while out on the road. Alex's plot in that chapter was going to be hanging around a motel and pretty much using the opportunity to try and square up some lingering baggage, calling his agent included. That didn't work out due to realizing the plot hole with the cast, but I decided to at least work that bit in here since I really couldn't put it off any longer once I realized this was an issue that needed to be addressed.

Looks very Christmasy with the green grass and gloomy early-evening sky, huh? Yeah, wanted to kind of put over when the comic's taking place a little more and just have more flash in the backgrounds in general.

To that end kind of makes you wonder on Alex being in short sleeves and a skirt I guess, but from here on with this chapter people are dressed more warmly.

For the record I never expected to get quite as much mileage out of those neck patches as I have thus far. It was kind of just come up with for the purposes of working Xandy into the comic a little more - which ironically has more happened through filler than through that - but has come in handy with this and with the Chris plot, and there'll probably be more things of this nature down the line.
