I didn't think there could be a page that would beat out the Impact Players' debut for my favorite one in the chapter, but this did it. This is up there for one of my favorite pages in the entire comic. I absolutely adore this set-up and the page that shows it off.

Our evil villain is setting up a scenario that will drive everyone in Atlanta mad, and our hero is trapped in the den of a poor brilliant man that she's driven insane. All of the interactions she's had with Rin until now, all of the instigation of his condition, all of the tampering with his medication, they all led to this. It really does show off the depths of O'Hara's insanity that she was willing to push him to this level.

So yeah, Alex is now caught in the lair of a supervillain's elaborate maze. Fucking love this kind of stuff. There's a reason The Riddler is one of my favorite bad-guys. The freaky, cool coloring of the maze really sells just how weird this scenario is too. Martin told me to really emphasize size with this place, make it look big and sprawling, and that's what I was going for. Really hope everyone enjoys. I think my favorite touch are all the painted-on stars on the ceiling.

This one was weird to do.

This whole setpiece has been planned for a LONG time. Several different forms of it over the years and different ideas on how to go about it, but Alex playing this maze game for Rin was going to be a thing since well before the comic even started. And of course for a very long time has been planned as a key part of the O'Hara climax. Again even before the comic started, which you'd probably figure on given how Rin and O'Hara first showed up in the first chapter.

To that end though it was kind of awkward to write. Moreso subsequent pages but still, while I'm happy with how this sequence works out I did struggle with writing parts of it.

Hope everyone enjoys. Certainly a curveball compared to the kinds of things in the comic to date.

Well O'Hara's easily proving herself to be even more demonic than Blasko, what in the world is going to happen now.
