This was kind of awkward to write, but in a way that was kind of appropriate.

I really wanted to do the big thing of Alex entering in dramatically and announcing his presence right off before marching head-on into things, but it really was the most responsible thing for him to do in this situation to immediately try to rush for the Ignition and try to get it without conflict. Didn't work, but was the smartest thing to try so opted for that over a more dramatic entrance.

Same logic to immediately going after McShay really - he can't exactly gamble on wasting time so after one token attempt to talk her down, he just immediately launches into attacking. Being smart and practical in this situation.

To that end also kind of had to shelf a big speech I wanted about some of O'Hara's viewpoint and backstory here, but it just really didn't organically fit since Alex would logically rush her first available opportunity. I get the sense even though her brother has powers (as does her sister, but I'm not entirely sure O'Hara knows that given the nature of them - I do intend for the two of them to pop back up, by the way) O'Hara's not particularly bothered by not having them herself, and kind of prefers just being able to get to people through sheer force of personality the way she does.

Either way, yeah. The next page we kick off the third throwdown between Alex and McShay. Let's see how this one turns out, eh?

Really exhausted but yeah, this page was a lot of fun. Especially love Alex's kick-swing in the third panel. Great motion on that one.

One thing we see a lot of in this next sequence is O'Hara looking very OOC at Alex's sudden appearance. She always has a smug look since McShay or her minions are always close by to protect her, so she ooks very strange and shocked just at the idea of having Alex right next to her. Even with McShay only a short distance away and obviously able to manipulate the stage with her wood-powers. I felt really weird showing her this panicked, and was kinda second-guessing myself for a lot of her shots. I do like that kinda "evil-witch-ish" pose in the fourth panel though. "HISSSSSSS!

Alex sure threw O'Hara for a loop, looking forward to the next page.
