Heheh... Yeah, if you didn't read Black Princess, this is a nod to THIS particular comic...

Lemme tell you, I was crazy about the excuse to re-draw that one. ^^ Still think we could've done better but was neat to see.... Makes sense to that it'd change how Ropun thought about death, seeing it.

I kinda forgot Lillian's parents were even dead, too. I wanna say this is the first time this has come up....

Oh! Wait, no, misread that statement. The idea was that they WERE going to be dead at some point in the production.... Eheh... Sorry, been a bit distracted the last few minutes handling my connection. ^^

Yeah, I imagine this is probably a very odd little aside if you haven't read Black Princess or don't remember this particular part of it. Kind of part of the gag in Lillian's reaction, just sort of poking fun at how many questions this raises about the setting and how it's being relatively gisted over (kind of WaR's own little microcosm of Salix over in Blues I suppose). There kind of was meant to be a lot more afterlife stuff going on in Black Princess than this and a lot more hauntings, but they were a little hard to come up with scenarios for. We'll prooobably do something of the sort again at some point but I wouldn't expect it to be very soon.

This kind of just felt like a natural subject to bring up in relation to everything Laura's been going through and a good excuse to redraw a scene that hasn't aged that well. It's not really something the chapter is going to dwell on but I think it helps with establishing some thematic elements of things.

On the Lillian's parents subject. . . It was alluded to a few chapters back in Storms Are Brewing, but doesn't hurt to bring it up again. I forget if I explained the situation then or not but basically at a point her parents WERE going to be dead but it was dropped due to a mix of not really figuring that much into anything, being kind of overly cliche, and sort of minimalizing the stuff I was wanting to do with Laura. I don't know if we'll ever actually see her parents as a result of that since the story wasn't really planned with them in mind, but I know a decent place to bring them in if I feel like it. Be awhile on that though.

I really need to do more scripts tonight actually. I probably should be getting to that in a minute.
