Typical evening.

I made that motel awfully bright, didn't I? Especially in comparison to the rest of the chapter - I was intending at the time for this to take place during sundown, but I wound up going with an outright night setting. As such, this kind of stands out - maybe the sun was still in the midst of setting at the time or something.

Either way, hey, John's back! Remember him, the redhead from the prologue? You'll be seeing a good bit more of him from here, first both throughout this chapter and in an upcoming BP one.

As for Ivy League here, note the one legged tights. I actually came up with those long (Long Island?) before wrestler Zack Ryder took to wearing them, something like three years before, though the way he managed to keep them from looking ridiculous did help to motivate me to keep with the idea. I remember in high school when bouncing ideas off of people most of them thought I should switch her to wearing shorts.

I could probably talk all day about Ivy League, really, since she's gone through a lot of changes in plans and design. I'll hold off on most of those, but I should note that originally I had her as a plant-themed villain. That was changed both because of the Poison Ivy thing (not intentional, somehow) and because that idea didn't really fit with where WaR's planning was heading from a superhero comedy to something more serious.

It took awhile before some elements of it, like a snake she wore in her hair, were totally dropped, though.

Ah, it felt good to draw Alex in his own body again. ^^ Also love doing Ivy League. She was weird at first, but got better with it.

Don't know if I ever got used to drawing such huge breasts though. Always came out looking awkward. For reference- she's got the biggest rack in the series.

Speaking of how characters have changed since their original concepts, John is pretty different between then and now. Martin should be able to explain that better. ^^
