Did a few last minute edits - as in after the page was submitted - on this one. Ice before was too transparent to where it looked like water and the gold light in the last panel was way too vibrant to where it was just ugly to look at.

This page was actually a huge pain to color despite not having that many heads just because it took a huge amount of layers to do it. Prooobably not going to see Daryl and Down in a fight scene at the same time as each other again after this chapter because each of them takes a lot of dedicated work.

I dunno. In general that's kind of where I'm at on this page, just kind of consider it a disappointment. Really was supposed to register as a lot more frantic than it does and think I could've done better work on it. Eh, can't all be winners.

I dunno, rather found of this page myself, especially when it came to the writing. I think my favorite little touch is the Teeth-Clenched-Teamwork between Hazel and Mercy. Between how they're talking to each other and their expressions, I think they're both secretly expecting the other person to torpedo the operation.

I'm still quite enjoying Down, too. Guy just looks badass. The frozen-corpse effect comes across perfectly with him, and he just pops in every panel he's in. It feels weird that besides that one chapter in Blues we've never done an ice-themed fight. Totally making up for it now.

Also seeing Daryl in action makes me happy. Think his position as a hero came across naturally. He never needed a scene where it was sat down and told what his powers were or what his deal is or how he was trans, it's all presented very organically in a way that's easy to follow. He's quickly shaping up to be one of my favorite characters, both to read and to draw. Already hoping he shows up more often.
