Eheh... Oh, jeez, dunno what to say about this one... Erm.. Yeah. This is what the chapter is. No sneak-attack, no trying to lure them out, just flat-out challenge. What I like is that they're pretty clearly hesitant, since a group like this would naturally be really dog-whistle-y, but the one dumb meathead of the group is willing to just accept the challenge at face value.

Sareena's eyes are drawn to be thicker line-wise in this page, implying that she's covering up the scars or swelling with a copious amount of make-up. Probably doesn't wanna show up talking to these dicks still looking beat up.

Has been forever since I've drawn Ana in her demon form, felt cool seeing her like that again. ^^ Expression especially.

I always intended the payoff to the Patriot Initiative storyline to be a big public showdown with the goal of targeting their PR, but I did struggle a lot with figuring out how exactly to go about structuring it. A big open melee didn't seem like it'd really fit with the official air of the whole thing, and I thought about kind of trying a bit of a tag team thing with them swapping in and out but it felt too messy. I think a gauntlet ended up being a solid way to do it, particularly with how the actual scripting of the sequence came out, but it did take some time to really land on that.

Might notice we updated the Midnight Maiden's design slightly, brought the color scheme in line with the other two; bit recursive there with it, because we based Misty and Sareena's matching color schemes on her but she didn't have the gold so we had to tweak her to incorporate it.

So the group needs a fourth person who doesn't have powers to help them out. I'm sure there's an obvious name that comes to mind for that, huh?

Heheh... Yeah, pretty much the natural option, isn't he? ^^
