So Martin mentioned that the Patriot Initiative being the focus of this chapter wasn't QUITE set in stone? It could've been in this chapter or the one after... The subject matter that it was competing with on what would be explored first was what Alex is experiencing here. Which... Nngn... Is something I realllyyy can't wait to get into. ^^

It's almost tragic; I really wanna get into Alex's issues more than the Patriot Initiaitve take-down, but despite that I put my vote toward doing this chapter first.... It's just that this plot is pretty ripe for tackling. Eh. Something to look forward to. ^^ And am having a lot of fun with this chapter anyway.

But yeah, we'll get into this later... For now, just neat to see Sonia and Daryl again.... I like how once they show up, Ana walks over to stand with them, just a nice touch that I like their whole family-except-not-family dynamic. ^^

We mentioned that we're trying to get a little more involved with the background? This is an early sign of it. It's just a parking lot, but fairly happy with the little touch there. Just pops quite a lot and something we're kinda learning about backgrounds is that a little goes a long way. ^^

Yeah, it isn't Alex. Obvious solution but not the one in this particular case. He actually was pretty heavily considered to be worked into this at a point, but then ideas started coming together on this whole thing and it started moving off in a different direction instead.

Like Adam mentioned, things were kind of in flux as to just what the focus would be from this point; originally the next chapter's Alex plot was going to be the subplot for this one but I decided I had too much material for both of them to cut them down for that, and just logistically they worked better separate because the Alex plot would've likely just awkwardly interrupted the Sareena and co. one.

.... It's getting really awkward calling them Sareena and co. every time. I should probably just say now that as of later in the chapter they start being collectively referred to as the Black Court so I'm going to start doing that from now on.

So yeah, anyway, this page went through some rewriting; originally when the Alex chapter was going to come first, the first two pages were the same and then this one with the cutaway led to what Alex is doing and that was to be the focus from then on. The more I mulled it over though the more I kind of decided structurally that didn't really work and Adam agreed, so we're doing the Patriot Initiative stuff and some other matters before we get to that.

Alex will be showing up in this chapter again but it won't be until the end; for the time being, anyone have any speculation as to just what it is that's up with him?

Ivy said a lot of things and there is a lot of stuff going on in Alex's life right now so I'm not sure.

Hope you'll like where it's going, very much going to be the focus of the next chapter.
