There'll probably be a new comment later after I get the chance to color something extra; the one before last panel had some miscommunication on it so it had to be redrawn, but the original shot came out looking pretty good so would still kind of like to color it and show it off. Really even now it's not drawn as scripted as Adam decided to do some improvising to not have to also redo the panel after it since Misty's positioning doesn't really make sense with how it was intended.

Besides that, not really the easiest page to comment on, though that could just be because I'm pretty tired. Still, I do think it came out pretty good, and I am glad to get the chance to do a bit of a lighter page in terms of headcount given how cluttered a lot of this chapter and especially Blues have been lately. Helps Saturday's Blues page was also on the lighter end, though not quite as much so.

Something that'd been bugging me for awhile is that I kind of thought Fulton and Mercy look too similar, between their color schemes and hairstyles. They still kind of do but been trying to take steps with Fulton's stuff in this chapter to at least differentiate them a bit further, by making his hair a bit less poofy, putting the line in the side of it, and rounding out his face somewhat. Could definitely be more distinctive than they are even now but eh, live and learn. Maybe Mercy will have a haircut or something next time he pops up.

Heheh.... Yeah, due to a massive fuck-up on my part that second-to-last panel wound up being re-drawn multiple times. I'd be more embarrassed if I didn't like how it came out in most shots.

Basically, Martin wanted Fulton to be putting Misty in a really specific wrestling hold, complete with a linked reference in the script. Due to a stupid mistake on my part I wound up having Misty putting Fulton in that hold instead, which I realized just as I was about ready to send the page. I re-drew it but botched the mechanics on the grapple (and basic anatomy) hard. This is the third attempt.

The funny part is that due to the mechanics of Misty doing that leg-snapper-hold-thing in the last panel I couldn't just draw the intended move, I had to invent this new hold out of nowhere... Helps that it REALLY looks like Misty's arm is in a painful position.

Given I came up with it out of nowhere, pretty impressed with the final result on that panel. I just love how... pretzel-y it that wound up being. Like, this REALLY looks like a contest of who the better grappler is. If Misty hadn't whiplashed Fulton off her, they were going to start going into each other's asses, like a two-person ouroboros.

Minor touch in the script, but you can tell DeGroot isn't happy with how Round 1 wound up going and is trying to hide it.
