When I was drawing the page before this, me and Martin briefly joked about how this fight didn't have a referee. He pointed out that the closest they had was DeGroot doing the announcer thing, so that explains why Knight is able to get away with this.

I still really had a lot of fun drawing Knight; he's still my favorite member of the Patriot Initiative and I liked putting over how tough and dangerous he is by having her heft up Misty and hurl her out of the ring. A lot of the shots were me trying to be more creative in general. Especially Knight leaping toward her in the fifth panel.

Misty hitting the ground and scraping against the ground was something else thrown in to make it look more brutal... That said, I think it's undercut by her hitting Ana in the legs and toppling her over. I've enjoyed doing some over-the-top stuff with Ana in general for this chapter.

Yeah, the last panel was pretty much entirely improvised on Adam's part - in the script it was just written as Misty being thrown out, but I do like the gag of her just being plowed through the dirt and of Ana being bowled over in the process. I probably should've thought to have put stains along her back though in retrospect. Live and learn I guess.

So yeah, Misty's been eliminated and now that brings us back to it being four-on-three. Looks like the Black Court's going to have to struggle to close the gap, but wonder which of them is going to come in next exactly.

Kind of funny aside, I had a target number in mind for how many pages this chapter should be and I eventually decided that going one over was okay when I finished writing it... except then Adam discovered I misnumbered it so the chapter actually went two over what I was aiming for. No huge deal but I did find it kind of weirdly disheartening.

Oh, right, we should mention now - Adam's having additional dental issues at the moment so that might end up causing some filler. It won't be the next page, that one's already drawn, and we're going to try to avoid it, but just a warning in case it comes down to that.

Talk about underhanded and dirty, but what else could you expect from people like them, wonder what's going to happen next.

Heh. Yeah, not exactly the kinds of people who particularly care about being honorable.
