Heheh... Yeah, cutting back to the end of the last chapter was weird. Had to suddenly go back and check what everyone was wearing... Did have a LOT of fun with this setting though, for a few different reasons.

We've been trying to get more.... involved and animated with the way characters are posed now. This was sort of the start of it with the last panel looking so heavy and crestfallen. Usually to make sure the characters poses are just right I even have to act them out myself; it's been a lot of fun to draw, and I think it leads to some really good results... Sadly there's not TOO much in this one, but we see more of it on Monday. ^^

The framing is also trying to be more dynamic, but that'll come later too. I do really like the third and fourth panel with those hand shots.... I dunno, we'll get into it more as we go, but a lot of different changes came about doing this one.

Also I love that window with the rain splattering onto it... Very happy with that. ^^ .... Yeah, kinda all I got at the moment. ^^

So... Lot to unpack here, huh?

A funny thing about this page is that I actually rewrote the last panel after initially doing it to make it a bit less overt right away what Alex is talking about, since it worked better giving further context with the next page. Kind of was somewhat misleading as presented without additional information so yeah, next page is pretty crucial on that one; I imagine this page gives certain impressions on its own but that one should help clarify a bit.

Either way still pretty happy with this one and was eager to submit it. If you go back in Blue Cold, Alex looks continually annoyed whenever Ivy uses that nickname. Most obviously here where she called it out -

The, "And that made it worse," thing is pretty big foreshadowing in its own right, but I kind of wonder if what it's in reference to might be a bit too subtle. I'll explain it in the comments on the next page to be clear.

Funny, as eager to submit this page as I was it actually is pretty hard for me to say much about it given just how much the next page clarifies. Guess be sure to swing by Monday, eh?
