Really scatterbrained at the moment (MAKE UP YOUR MIND, GEORGIA!), but very pleased with the results on this page. It feels like it's been a while since we've seen Hazel despite it really not being that long at all, but he's a character I always like to check in with. Here we see a bit more of his humble origins, showing that he came from a loving family before winding up working for Xmarlek.

Emphasizing that Hazel's brothers and dad are both dead in the first panel sort of makes it weird watching him interact with Xmarlek. Nicely highlights that he wasn't born a criminal and isn't even being treated that well in the organization he eventually wound up in. Eh, I wanna say more but feels like it'd be rambling, there's a reason he's a technically-bad-guy to check in on from time to time. ^^

Yeah, for what it's worth if Georgia flips you can 100% expect Monday to be a filler about it. We might do it anyway with how amazingly far along it's come, given the setting of the comic it's worth celebrating.

Anyway, yeah, Hazel! He's been a little out of focus lately, and this chapter kind of doesn't change that much; he's only actually in this page and the next one. Still, I did want him to pop up and get some interplay with Xmarlek, and he'll be front and center in the next chapter. Kind of a leg of the plot that got sidelined a bit while we wrapped up the Patriot Initiative and then went into the Dorothy situation further, but we're moving into the next big phase of it very soon.

Funny thing, as you can see we now gave Hazel more prominent eyebrows. We were actually kind of split on what color to go with between brown, grey, and blond; I actually liked how the grey looked, but I was afraid it'd be kind of distracting so I went brown with it.

Was odd doing Hazel's family again. Been a long time since we last saw a group picture of them.
