Hey, I told you it'd probably happen.

Yeah, given the setting of the comic and us wearing our views on our sleeve, this had to happen. Kind of self-serving but hey, we spent all of last week stressed the hell out about the election, nothing wrong with having some fun.

Of course, the fight in Georgia isn't actually over yet, we've still got runoffs to deal with. If you can give anything to help with taking the Senate in January it'd be extremely helpful.

Funny thing, we were actually pretty split between whether to go with Sareena or Alex for this, since Sareena had the whole Patriot Initiative storyline while Alex is the one actually from Georgia. So we split the difference. Kind of the idea on paper with this was to have Alex holding the Genderfluid Bi flag, but ended up with the Georgia one instead.

We'll be back to Hazel on Friday, hopefully everyone enjoys what's to come.

Yeah, Georgia didn't quite ride in on a white horse and win the day like it was looking (hats off, Philly), but the flip was a great surprise. It did wind up providing a lot of hope during the long, long, lonnnnng period of stress and uncertainty that was this election. Staying up until the official flip just felt reassuring.

I do feel sort of odd doing a political bit like this but, yeah, it's been a really stressful couple of week in an already-stress-filled year, so a victory lap like this just felt like a big relief. And, like Martin said, we're fairly open about our political leanings, especially here in WaR. After doing an entire arc of Sareena being beaten up by racist dicks who use blind patriotism to smokescreen a bullshit agenda, something like this just felt natural. Hell, the Blues chapter Blue Blazes was written to address some of the more politically-charged ways you can read superhero stories, specifically dismissing the "Good guy with a gun" narrative.

Eh, either way, this picture signifies a sigh of relief with us, knowing things are over. At least until someone announces a coup, because that's the only way this God-awful year could end. That or Godzilla. Hopefully Godzilla.
