I should really go through making separate divisions on the site for these filler story arcs honestly, it'd make them a lot easier to find in the archives. I'd have to go through renumbering everything to do it so it'd be kind of a pain but I might angle to do that before Friday's update.
This little filler arc is kind of looking to accomplish a lot in a relatively small span of time; really it came so naturally writing it that I feel like if desired it probably could've been stretched into a whole (albeit short) chapter, though I don't think it's really the most crucial of information being covered so not really warranted; this is kind of more about revisiting some lingering plot points from the past few chapters, mostly Claim My Kingdom and A Girl Named Dorothy.
I actually put a lot more work into this one than I usually would for filler; been trying to tighten up aspects of the art lately and while I didn't want to sink a gigantic amount into it, I did want to at least do a bit of tightening up in places. The details on Alex and Lillian's shirts were part of that as was the tattoo on Christina; I kind of just realized it'd make sense for her to have one and logistically it'd probably be something done by one of the other members of O'Hara's group, thus likely pretty simple and basic.
Which I guess also kind of works as an accidental Pride Month filler? I really would like to do something more involved for the occasion but this arc will be running the best of the filler - wasn't really thinking about when it'd go up at the time I wrote it which was a fair bit ago - and with the book cover to come I don't really want to add an extra to the rotation for it. There is an idea I'm batting around to do at least a little something for it at least, we'll see how that shakes out.
Oh right, if you're reading this on Comic Fury you might notice that the site logo has changed. Actually swapped it out a day or two ago; had been needing to redo it on my new computer since I lost the source file for it and while I wanted to keep it more or less the same there was certainly room for polishing it up. I've worked on something a bit more drastically different with the Blues logo for that matter, that'll probably make its debut on the next cover but that might happen sooner if we can fit something in with it.
This is a bit of a heavy order for a filler but eh. Still came out great, especially all of Martin's work on everyone's shirts. Just looking into what happened after the attack and what's to be done with the lock.
I love how because of Ropun's green motif and the lock being green, looking at the first panel without dialog just makes it look like he's giving it to Ropun as a gift. ^^
