Again folks, we're only going to be updating on Monday just to accommodate my move to another state. Sorry, just... Things are getting into a crunch at this point. I've got to be on the move in less than two weeks.

But that's only one change, we got a much, MUCH bigger one right here in the page; newer more vibrant colors!

Yeah, long story short we were doing a side project and wound up trying to replicate much brighter colors seen in cartoons and were kinda struck at just how much more the artwork seemed to pop. It even made the lines look smoother and less clumsy... So we naturally started throwing it on everything we could, and fell in love with the look so much we decided to put it on the page. Isn't it just great?

Martin colored two versions of this page just in case it didn't quite work out, and we just liked this one waaaay more. You can see the non-vibrant version here.

Yeah, sudden shift but we love it way too much to back out. ^^

Another little touch; Alex counting off on their fingers. The script called for panels 4-8 to just be shots of one hand slowly counting things off. Threw this idea out instead, with just a single image of Alex and shots of Dorothy's hands to show what they're doing, and we workshopped it a bit to make it look good. Though it was just a great little touch.

Oh, also, Ivy, Candice, and Marie are here. ..... This was the day that Ivy wanted to spend time with her daughter. Hooray for togetherness!

Heh... Weird, this is a pretty boring transitional page, but all the stuff that went into it and went on around it really gave me a lot to talk about. Funny, that.

Yeah, this one's kind of a transitional page to getting more insight into things, but it's still kind of one that really stands out just due to what we're doing with it in regards to the coloring. It's kind of something we've been flirting with for a week or two due to other projects we have going on and after some further experimenting with it here and there I decided to color this page both ways and this is the one we opted to use.

Comparing this to the original that one kind of already looks so washed out and drab by comparison, probably a good sign for this being a good idea to press on with.

In either case, do hope everyone enjoys this page, even if it does suck that the schedule's going to be askew for a bit. Adam has a ton on his plate right now and it's kind of just tied everything up, even in regards to Militant Gold it's kind of gotten stalled out for the moment; February or March launch that I was hoping for absolutely isn't happening, but the first couple of pages are finished and it is continuing, just kind of not right at this moment.

Good getting to bring in Candice and Ivy on this at least. I'll get more into it later but I kind of struggled on paper with figuring out how to integrate Candice into this one; I wanted the whole thing to be a direct follow-up to the previous chapter with a lot of focus on the same main people (though Hazel and Misty wound up very deemphasized, we'll get to that) but while Ivy's been a big part of the blueprint of this chapter from the very beginning, despite it coming together in an extremely different form than initially conceived, Candice was a little bit of an awkward fit with the concept. Think as everything wound up falling together it worked out very nicely though and do hope everyone's going to enjoy what's to come with them.
