This one went through kind of a weird, messy period of working on it. Adam was up especially late working on it, so it wound up kind of awkward in places and required a bit of extra work to polish up... and I had it suddenly dropped on me that I was going to have to go move furniture after like two hours of sleep. So I wound up working on this thing while under a time crunch and exhausted and eventually had to pass the buck to Adam to finish putting the colors on some of the heads, though I had done the full palette already at least.

Speaking of... Despite that whole porblem I decided to use this page as the one to do something I've been wanting to do for a little bit, specifically making the colors all the more vibrant. ... Realize it's kind of masked by all the night effects in this page, but yeah. In stray pictures we've done on our own time I've experimented with going even more vibrant than I had been doing, felt like I was still holding back in respects, and I think it's been producing much more striking images so decided to go ahead and push it a little further within the comic. Probably be kind of a pain to juggle going forward while everyone's new palettes are figured out but at least for the time being we're not going to be dealing with a lot of characters since yeah, coming up on the action now and all.

I've actually also been wanting to move into doing manually selected colors for the shading instead of having a flat tone for it, produce more vibrant colors there that better stand out than the somewhat dusty results that sometimes come from the uniform way we do it, but that's probably too much to do on this page after everything else, especially since it wasn't really put together with doing it specifically in mind. Might try that on the next Blues page, or maybe just edit this one later or something.

Sorry about the wait on my comments, was dead tired so basically passed out after typing my comments. .... Looking at the page again, I'm sorta impressed at just how good it came out. Lineart's getting really tight and Martin's color job just keeps making the comic pop more and more. Adriaura in particular just looks great. ^^

Really, this is one of those transition pages that's hard to talk about on the whole, but the art really does make it fun to look at. Just... Heh.. Sorry, getting sorta self-congratulatory I guess, but just been loving how the art's been coming out lately.

That shot in the third panel is flashing back to when Alex and Hearst met at the end of Key. Kinda looking back at older pages sorta makes shots look better in contrast. Eh, either way, love how this one came out, curious to see the next one.
