We're doing this? Okay, we're doing this.

Yeah, I'm sure it's not gone unnoticed that Adam and I have a lot lately been dropping bits talking about how we weren't sure if we'd ever get to do a WaR / Blue Blood Heroes crossover. That's been some pretty heavy teasing honestly, to the point we thought we might give it away by talking about it so much - we actually came up with and began planning out this idea months ago.

What's the synopsis? What's going on in the chapter exactly? How does the crossover come about? Stick around to see, though as it and the WaR chapter are running concurrently there will be some small indicators there before the crossover actually starts. They don't overlap very much, though, and as said before, Red, White, and Blue's title is not referring to Blues and does not have much connection to it.

For those wondering, it is largely being written with the idea that you can continue reading Wright as Rayne without needing to read it to understand what's going on, and the events of the story mostly just affect Blues. There will be some benefit from reading both, however. Also, it bares mentioning Adam is mostly the one writing the crossover - I wrote the first page of it but everything else that's been written so far he's handled.

Unrelated, if you're reading this on Comic Fury, the cast page has been updated. Mostly it's to update the art on various characters, but I also added Chris, Jenny, and Arc to it. There's one other character debuting in the next chapter I maybe should have added but I decided to hold off on it for the moment.

Anyway, hopefully everyone enjoys the crossover when it does come around, and be sure to swing by for the start of Red, White, and Blue on Monday!

You guys had to have seen this coming. Seriously, what's the point of sending Xandy to the center when you don't do a crossover?

As Martin said, this won't affect WaR too much, though am trying to use the opportunity to explore Alex's character a little and discuss certain aspects of him. And as a bonus, what we look at with Alex also lets us examine certain stuff in Blues I've been meaning to take a closer look at. And it sets up a future chapter by introducing a new Blues villain who'll be recurring. Yeah, a lot to be excited for.

Xandy, naturally, gets a lot of screentime too, which is even more important since we just haven't seen her very much. Will she join the team or be a civilian companion like Lenore and Heather? Who's the new villain? What deep, dark secrets have I been planning on? Gotta read Blues to find out.

All teasing in the comments aside, even though me and Martin settled on this crossover a few months ago, we've been racking our brains for an idea since day one. Various ideas have included an out of continuity thing with Alex visiting the Center as himself, Alex having to visit Stonewall due to work involving Eighth Sin or being dragged there with Cathy and bumping into the kids, the kids somehow meeting Candice (who isn't a blue-blood) and that leading into them meeting Alex.... I think there was a plan on Grant visiting WaR with the excuse of his dad having a business trip, but that might've just been an RP we did once.

Oh awesome this is going to be so cool, I always wanted to see the kids and Starchild work together and now it's finally going to happen, you guys are so awesome that's probably going to end up being my favorite chapter, I am so looking forward to this.

I've had a really slow, irritating day, and that message did a great job cheering me up. Thank you. ^^

I know this isn't going to most likely be read, but still, I really am going to like this. Blue Blood Heroes and Wright as Rayne are high on my list of well read online comics.
