Originally this and the previous page were going to be one massive page. Double the standard width, utterly enormous page with the whole top-half of this one spread across the length of two pages. It got split into two pages due to time, and because my reaction upon getting the script was to curl up under my bed and cry.

While it was a lot of work and I balked at it, now that it's done I'm a bit sorry we didn't get the chance to do it. It was a good example of playing with the format of comics and really experimenting with what we can do with it. I really couldn't wrap my head around how it would look until this single-page version was done. Eh, maybe some time in the future.

I really like that portal-spam, though. This demon-side thing brings up a looooot of questions.

Yeah, this is pretty close in concept to the original idea, but there we'd have been seeing all the hostages, a much bigger view of the room, more mooks being taken down, and all that, as well as Ana hopping between the panels.

Idea on the portals is kind of supposed to be less that she can outright teleport from one point to another and more that she does so in bursts, which is why she's kind of moving in sequence around the room the way she is; again, kind of communicated less there than it was in writing it, but general idea still shines through.

All in all still quite happy with the page, though. Think it quickly conveys some brutality and just how animalistic and dangerous Ana's demon form is. Given that it's probably not hard to guess what that bit of Spanish Ozias is letting out is. Sareena might be right on this here, based on what we're seeing just how could anyone possibly combat Ana in this form?
