Heh... Not sure how much I have to say on this one, but always good to see Ropun, especially since, as you can see, she's a major character in this chapter. ^^ Ropun is never not awesome to have around.
I dunno if this was outlined so much in the script, but I like that Alex is hauling two really big gifts for Ropun instead of just one. I've always seen the guy as being really generous with his money and it's really sweet he's getting some good shit for her birthday. ^^ Lots of good, expensive, presumably green shit.
This has been kind of a weird subplot to write, been pretty trickily walking a tightrope in regards to the tone. Be easier to speak on later but kind of been trying to keep from making things too mopey with it, more wistful.
I do like getting the chance to show Lillian being a little more loose and be a little jokey. I feel like she can sometimes come off as something of a wet blanket, though I guess that's kind of to be expected given her role in the story speaking out against the superhero stuff.
Speaking of, for at one point being the character with the most consistent track record after Power's streak ended, Lillian's actually been gone for a LONG time - this is her first time showing up in 101 pages. Not really intended but she just was barely in A Man and a Woman and hasn't appeared in any of the chapters since.
As an aside, I like having Lillian again in a silly seasonal shirt. It's a cute little touch I think.
