First off, to anyone who doesn't read Blues, this is the debut of the new style of cover for the comics. Was WELL past time to phase out the more blocky old banner and go with something a little more sleek, as well as to find a more stable way to fit in the title since it's often kind of a pain finding a suitable place to slot it in.
Another change in the process of this chapter that reflects with Blues is the pages are now the same size as Blues ones instead of the slightly longer pages we've been doing for years on end now. Really that's just a matter of convenience; we've had a few times we've accidentally done WaR pages in the wrong size before, and not only does no one really seem to notice (we usually don't ourselves until we see the difference in thumbnail size on DeviantArt) but we're good enough with fitting things in now that the extra size has kind of long since stopped serving any kind of purpose. So that's been ditched.
Can't think of anything else Blues-related I could possibly want to go on about in regards to this cover...
But yeah, really just wanted this cover to be casual and inviting. This is a pretty easygoing chapter on the whole, kind of just addressing various lingering issues and really working to establish Alex's gym as kind of a go-to hangout from here on. Of course, there will be plenty of direct story content while at it - this chapter and the next one were actually split from originally being planned as one chapter just because it was decided there was too much going on with it to cram it down, didn't want to repeat the mistake of the last chapter of having to cut stuff just to rein it in.
And as the cover box tells you, we'll be seeing Ivy League for the first time in quite awhile. Actually first shows up very early into the chapter, though probably be a little bit before she does much.
Heheh.... Yeah, enjoy this chapter a lot, though not quite sure what to say on the cover. Came out really fun and cute, but it's a very calm, basic image. ^^
Funnily enough I didn't even expect Alex to be wearing his purple Rayne coat, but the pink one he has as Dorothy. I actually love how the purple one looks, so it was quite a pleasant surprise for me to see it. ^^
