Heheh... Yeah, this was an unexpected but very fun little twist. Like I said, Christina and Grant started to mesh when we remembered the former has a kid brother, and we started to lean into the big sister angle. Thus we have her coming in and laying into Ivy League for going so harsh on him. Didn't see it coming but was very happy with the turn. ^^

At the same time, I like how Ivy DOES back off when she's called out for being such a bitch to the kid. It's a nice way of illustrating that she ultiamtely DOES have a heart deep down and isn't being a bully just for the sake of it.

Likewise, I didn't realize until drawing this that Christina would have no idea Grant could fly (she mentioned earlier not having watched the Marvelous Man fight), so asked Martin if I could add in some additional dialog of her reacting to it. ^^ I like how Grant feels awkward enough talking about it that he changes the subject and accidentally makes it way, way worse.

I think this is the first time it's been mentioned that Ivy League looks very trashy. It's sort of intended in-universe for her to look that way, implying that she doesn't care a huge amount about how she looks.

Yeah, using Christina as the straight man earlier kind of led to a useful niche for her throughout the chapter. Been enjoying giving the character something of a spotlight and lightening her up a little, and having her still kind of being a jerk about it in the process was a fun twist on things. And of course had to have a callback to one of the early moments of her and Alex running into each other mostly just to confuse Grant with it.

Funny, I'm kind of finding myself blanking on specifics despite being quite happy with this one. I dunno, do hope that everyone enjoys in either case.

"Even at my drunkest I would'nt" was what got my sides aching.

Heh, glad it went over well. Pretty happy with that joke myself.
