Admittedly I dunno how much to say about this page offhand - kind of just the start of the next few pages worth of action, doesn't really lend a gigantic amount of material to speak on I don't think.

Still, I am happy with it. Really wanting to put over Grant's determination and show that he can take some pain and is willing to do so, despite how nervous he is a lot of the time in conversation.

Though I do feel like this page is very Blues-focused, no WaR character besides Ivy and don't think it really tells you much about her. In general I've tried to write this crossover to while connecting directly to Blues not really be that reliant on it (if anything I feel like it's maybe gone a little far and that Grant's possibly not gotten enough to do in it before this) but kind of couldn't really avoid that in this page. I think the rest of the sequence does a better job walking the line between working in direct connections to WaR while still giving Grant a spotlight.

Yeah, I love the way Grant's written here; strikes a nice balance of being intimidated while not letting himself be pushed around.

Ivy mentioned that she's not planning on hurting Grant physically, and this is kind of where it becomes clear that she's trying to make him tap out. After drawing first blood, she goes into using a hold that's painful but doesn't risk him losing consciousness.

What I really like about this is that Ivy IS giving Grant a chance. She probably saw him usign his flight to get out of her grip; you can tell from her expression she's not surprised to see it.

Love how that panel came out, by the way. Didn't expect it to look so defiant. ^^ You'll notice Grant's using some grappling knowledge in addition to his flight to break her grip. He's twisting his body away from Ivy as he rises up, and he's thumping her right arm with his left elbow to help break the grip on it. Again, pretty sure Ivy could compensate since she's got more grappling experience, but she's still gauging him.

Ivy certainly has a unique way of doing things, very interesting, wonder what's going to happen next.
