Funny, not a lot to this page narratively but I think it's probably the most visually striking of the chapter; got a lot of characters there in the first panel, some of whom we haven't seen in awhile, and just look at that skyline. I'll let Adam get more into that but is something we wanted to try experimenting with and since first panel aside this page was pretty light it felt like a good time to do it - really happy with how that whole thing turned out.

Yeah, this page largely exists to come back around to the Callous subject and show that in spite of how he didn't even actually end up needing to do anything, he's still owed that undefined favor - we'll come back around to that at some point so would keep it in mind, though it's not going to be immediately relevant to the next chapter or anything. Pretty much just one last lingering plot thread to address with this one.

In general though this is really just kind of designed as a post fight come down, everyone's happy page, celebrating the victory. Sort of a funny thing about that - we designed the new eyes for Section 24 for this occasion, but not for Ana's family or Jake; the former two aren't really all that worth being concerned about anyway but for Jake since we hadn't done here she just had to be wearing sunglasses here. Plus side that feels pretty in character anyway. We'll need to fit her in soon-ish since she'll probably appear again a couple of chapters from now but yeah, for now guess everyone's just gonna be in suspense on what she looks like under those.

Next page is the last one in the chapter - we'll be revisiting the subject of Alex in that one and it'll pretty immediately be making it clear what a big part of the focus of the next chapter's going to be. Really hoping everyone's going to enjoy what's coming.

Heh... Yeah, one thing that I feel sorta needs work on the pages are the skylines, which in general could just look kinda better. In order to make the line here I literally found a panaramic picture of the actual Atlanta Skyline, cut out a small piece of it, and traced it in the long second panel. Then for maximum effect and to keep the visuals looking nice, I copied the buildings into the first and fourth panels. VERY encouraged with the results. My favorite part is that since this is a night scene you can really see the darkness of the night with the bright lights piercing through them with the bright indoor part breaking through that.... Yeah, very encouraging result.

I'm already sorta eager to replicate it in Blues, though not sure what I'll do for the reference picture since Blues is set in a fictional city....

Like Martin said, the page on its own doesn't accomplish much for the narrative but you need pages like this to transition the story from one moment to the other and let a mood set in. In this case, a sense of ease and relaxation is really needed after the big Patriot Initiative arc's been wrapped up.

I just played Danganronpa 2 before this page, and was at the scene where the first murder took place. So when doing that table in the first panel with the punch bowl, I kept thinking about how weird it'd be if Togami's corpse was under it.

Very interesting, wonder what's going to happen next.
